The Pendulum Appliance is a modification of the Hilgers Pendex to allow distalization of the maxillary molars without expanding the maxillary arch.  Light continuous distalizing forces are achieved by using distalizing arms made from .032 beta titanium wire and helix coil design. The distalizing arms are inserted into lingual sheaths welded directly onto the bands.  Adjustment loops can be added to the distalizing arms to aid in molar rotation.

The distalizing arms are inserted into lingual sheaths welded directly onto the bands.  Adjustment loops can be added to the distalizing arms to aid in molar rotation.

The T-Rex is a modification of the Hilgers Pendex to allow distalization of the maxillary molars and expansion of the maxillary arch in separate phases.  This is achieved by soldering a stabilizing wire directly to the mesial of the molar bands that prevent distalizing forces until the wires are clipped after desired arch expansion is achieved.  Once clipped, light continuous distalizing forces are achieved by using distalizing arms made from .032 beta titanium wire and helix coil design. The distalizing arms are inserted into lingual sheaths welded directly onto the bands.  Adjustment loops can be added to the distalizing arms to aid in molar rotation.

The Lip Bumper is a removable appliance that aids in the distalization of the molars.  A coated wire allows for even forces to be applied by the pressure generated from the lip muscles in the mouth.

The Halterman Appliance is used to aid in the eruption of an impacted tooth and is typically combined with an upper or lower holding appliance.  The appliance can be welded to either the buccal or lingual side of the band.
